Disney Packaging Concepts

Posted on

I’ve always been captivated by packaging and brand design. It’s been a big dream of mine to create the graphics behind a big brand retail product. While I’m working towards that goal though, I thought it would be fun to experiment with making my own concepts inspired by the industries I love. Disney has always been a major design and engineering inspiration for me. Growing up watching Disney movies and TV shows has shaped my own style and imagination in so many ways.

I’m currently working on a line of retail product packaging designs inspired by Disney characters I love! Stay tuned to keep up with me as I add to it!

1. Tony's Meatballs from Lady and the Tramp

Tools: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
For this design, I drew special inspiration from the classic Italian chef logo where a cartoon chef is jumping out of the packaging. I wanted to re-imagine what a Lady and Tramp product would look like post big Disney film. The goal was to convey the feeling of a premium product while simultaneously drawing on animated and Italian graphic elements. Check out the video below to see a more in-depth telling of my design process and inspiration for this mockup!

2. Blue Hawaii Lilo and Stitch Record

Tools: Adobe Draw, Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
For this design, I wanted to re-imagine what an Elvis album would look like with Lilo and Stitch as the stars. I chose the Blue Hawaii album for its reference to the Aloha State and created images of Stitch and Lilo drawing on graphic themes from both the Album and Disney films. I had the most fun recreating Elvis’ shirt on Stitch and seeing this album come to life.
